  15. This memo is a revision to RFC 1225.  It makes the following changes
  16. from that document:
  17.  
  18.         - the RPOP facility is removed;
  19.         - the optional APOP facility is added (which is in
  20.           interoperable, operational use in at least three 
  21.           implementations);
  22.         - a typo was corrected with respect to the interaction of LAST
  23.           and RSET;
  24.         - section numbers were added; and,
  25.         - an acknowledgements section was added.
  26.  
  27. This is a Draft Standard Protocol.
  28.  
  29. This RFC specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the Internet
  30. community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
  31. Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB Official Protocol
  32. Standards" for the standardization state and status of this protocol.
  33. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
